TV Noordzee (5)

Programmes

Broadcasts from TV Noordzee were confined to the evening and late night hours, usually 6.30pm-8.00pm and 10.00pm-11.30pm, with a one hour transmission on Sunday mornings.

Programme content  included many syndicated English and American series:- The Saint, Robin Hood, William Tell, Ben Casey, Rin Tin Tin, The Invisible Man, Supercar, Wagon Train, Mr. Ed, The Bob Cummings Show, My Three Sons, Leave it to Beaver, Victory at Sea, 87th Precinct, and The New Breed,  all with Dutch subtitles.

Only six people (in addition to secretaries and typists) operated Radio and TV Noordzee from its landbased headquarters:-

Joe Brandel, General Manager of REM (who was under contract to launch the stations)

Dick Harris, Programme Director

Andre Gottmer, Public Relations

Willy Hougenbirk, Advertising Controller

Guy Bloomer, Programme Adviser (representing London based Lloyd Williams Associates)
